![]() March 2, 1951-August 26, 2021 Florida Chapter 113 Branch of Service: Army Retired Chief Warrant Officer Terrell Glenn Stutts, 70, passed away of Covid 19. Terry or "Stutts" served 23 years in the U.S. Army mainly in the Signal Corp. He continued in service to his country as a defense contractor with Raytheon and Northrup Grumman until his recent retirement to Florida. He was an active member of AMVETS Post 113 and would do anything to help those in need. He was always there for his friends and family. He was the life of party! He was a giving and loving father and brother and will be missed dearly. ![]() August 4, 1974-June 15, 2021 Michigan Chapter 93 Sons of AMVETS He was a true AMVETS Rider, friend, and Brother. He never missed an event and would do anything for anyone. We miss you dearly. December 23, 1953-June 1, 2021
Florida Chapter 9 Sons of Amvets George was an active SOA member for 21 years. He was a charter member of District 9 Riders and later the Chapter 9 Riders. George was a generous man giving his time and talents to those in need. All who knew him were blessed to have shared his jokes and free spirit. He made a difference in the lives of many and is already missed by his friends and family. Georges forever love, Joan, was by his side until the end. ![]() June 9, 1959-January 19, 2021 New Jersey Chapter 101 Sons of AMVETS Paul was a Chartered Member of the Riders at NJ Post 101 where he was also a Sons member. Paul left behind his wife and best friend Linda. Paul loved to ride motorcycles and fish. You could find Linda and him on the shores of Jersey fishing in the summers. Paul spent 35 years as a union sheetmetal worker in Philadelphia. Shortly after retiring he bought a house and moved to Florida. He became a SAL and a Rider of the Punta Gordo Post 103 American Legion. September 28, 1951-December 23, 2020
Florida Chapter 2 Sons of AMVETS Walter "JR" Gilbert lost his long fought battle with cancer on December 23, 2020. He was a Charter Member and Past Commander of Sons of AMVETS Squadron 2. He was also a Charter Member of FL AMVETS Riders Chapter 2. The fight is over, the pain is gone. Rest in Peace JR. October 22, 1959-December 18, 2020
Kentucky Chapter 125 Branch of Service: Army ![]() June 18, 1960-December 14, 2020 New Jersey Chapter 101 Sons of AMVETS Joe was a member of the Sons of AMVETS with NJ Post 101. He was not a member with us long, but he sure did leave his mark. Joe was a tele-communications guy with one of the local hospitals. He was married and has two beautiful girls. He loved to ride his motorcycle ands when he wasn't doing that you could find him shooting pool at one of the local watering holes. ![]() September 14, 1945 - December 14, 2020 Texas Chapter 23 Branch of Service: Army Espirio "Pilo" Vega was a dedicated member of the AMVETS giving of his time to ensure that the post he loved, Post 23, Dallas, Tx, would survive and thrive for years to come. As a Trustee of the Post, he and other trustees put processes and procedures in place that made the operations of the Post simple, repeatable and sustainable. As 2nd Vice of the Riders, he lent his leadership and love of riding to making the Riders of the "Biggest Little Post in Texas" the success it is today. RIP Pilo!!! LRB |
Last ChapterThe AMVETS Riders would like to honor all those faithful Riders who have passed from this life to the next. Their voices and the the roar of their motorcycles have been stilled, but their names and faces are indelibly etched in our hearts and minds. Their passing has left a void that will never be filled, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to serve and ride alongside them. We were blessed to know them, and we pray that God will bless us to be reunited when it is our time to take the final ride.
