"Gary Edward Hayman retired from the US Army as First Sergeant after 27 years of service, and additionally served with the Michigan and Florida National Guards. Gary had twice been AMVETS Post FL86 Commander (1997-1999 and 2012-2013) and formed AMVETS Riders Chapter FL86 in Keystone Heights, FL. He served as AMVETS Dept. of FL Chairman of the ROTC and Honor Guard Committees. Gary was a devoted military man instrumental in the JROTC programs in Interlachen and Keystone Heights, FL; member of VFW Post 8255 in Middleburg, FL and of the Patriot Guard. As a civilian, Gary served with the Miami, FL Police Department for 21 years, followed by the Putnam County, FL Sheriff's Dept."
The AMVETS Riders would like to honor all those faithful Riders who have passed from this life to the next. Their voices and the the roar of their motorcycles have been stilled, but their names and faces are indelibly etched in our hearts and minds. Their passing has left a void that will never be filled, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to serve and ride alongside them. We were blessed to know them, and we pray that God will bless us to be reunited when it is our time to take the final ride. Now as they ride forever free across the heavens, these AMVETS Riders are part of an eternal fellowship,
