THE POWER OF PRAYER
Part of the experience of Rolling to Remember is in the meeting of people from all over the country and hearing their stories of life and building relationships. A couple I met at the Blessing of the Bikes event, shared with me that their veteran son (Sean) had recently been in a serious motorcycle accident. At the time of our conversation, their son was in the ICU fighting for his life. Sean's mother shared with me that the cardinals at the church, upon hearing the story, immediately took them into a room in the cathedral and prayed for Sean. I shared this information with Jeremiah, our National Chaplain and he immediately went over to them to talk and pray with them. Fast forward to Wednesday after we returned home, Jeremiah forwarded me the message from Sean's parents, that "Sean is awake, breathing completely on his own and is being removed from ICU! Praise God"

JESSIE MCALLISTER / RICKY DAVIS - HERO'S DREAM
I was reading an article about 22 veterans committing suicide every single day on average. As a veteran of Desert Storm that really bothered me and hit close to home. I wrote the lyrics to “Hero’s Dream” and showed them to my good friend Ricky Davis. He said we need to do this song! Ricky supplied vocals, recorded, and produced the song. We won an award for our song Hero’s Dream a couple of years ago in Atlanta at the ISSA (International Singer Songwriter’s Association) when I first wrote the song, I didn’t write it for an award but just to help our follower veterans.
Ricky Davis - I joined the Army at 17 in 1974. Blessed with peace time. 1975 they made us Nam era veterans. Always felt guilty because no boots on the ground! But still a proud of being a veteran.
