I have attached a copy of the Finance Report document for the year 2017-2018 and a copy of the budget for comparison. With the confusion of tracking expenses from credit card charges the previous Quarterly Financial Report is not accurate so I will not be sending out the 3rd quarter or final 4th quarter report. This is some of the things that came out of the audit. I did attach a copy of the document that will be used to track credit card charges to make sure everything will be tracked accurately. I added a line under committed funds for tracking of budget carry over for the Death Benefit, the new budget amount is not counted in the carry over amount, only unused Scholarship and Death Benefit from previous year. Thank you, LRB Dan Macdonald AMVETS Riders National Treasurer Riders Nation,
First, I humbly thank you for the vote of confidence in electing me for the position of Riders National 1st Vice President. I am honored to be working with some of the most dedicated Riders in the country. Over the next few months, The Chapter and Department 1st Vices will start getting prepared for our upcoming Dues and remittance in January. With everybody’s help by paying your dues on time and making sure your contact information is correct, we can make this process as painless as possible to ensure that nobody gets missed on any rosters. The National Roster is what counts when it comes time for voting. If you are a Chapter or Department Officer, I challenge you to not just hold a position, but become the subject matter expert for your membership, they deserve the best. As we grow to nearly 3000 Riders nationwide, being able to fulfill the requirements of your position is critical to our success as the AMVETS Riders Nation. Lead by example. Within the next few months we will be rolling out a Riders Officers manual that puts in plain English what is required of each Officer position. We have many things planned for our future as we grow and I am asking that you give your full support, as I do, to the Riders National President George Cummings. We also have a new National 2nd Vice, John Reando, he has a lot of fresh and great Ideas that we will be looking at to keep the dues at the current level, but, we all have to participate in the National fund raisers to make that happen. I am privileged to work with ALL the National and Department Officers, Elected and Appointed, to make the AMVETS Riders the Premiere Veteran oriented motorcycle organization in the world, not just a program. Along with the other National Officers, I have an open door policy as long as you have used the Chain of Command. Members contact their Chapter Officers, Chapters contact their Department Officers, and Departments contact National Officers. If you are not satisfied with a timely response, give me a call. Our phone numbers and e-mails, along with a lot of other information, are on the National website, amvetsridersnational.org. LRB/S, Tom McNamara Riders National 1st Vice President Riders Nation,
Thank you for electing me to serve as your National 2nd Vice during the Norfolk convention. For those of you that don't know me, I am a life member of AMVETS Post 48 in De Soto, Missouri and an Army National Guard Veteran. I enlisted in 1984 and served six years, including two trips overseas. I joined the AMVETS in 2008 and became a charter member of Riders Chapter 48 in 2009. In 2013 I took office as the Chapter 1st Vice, and was elected Chapter President the following year. Since that time, I have held the offices of Department 2nd Vice, 1st Vice, and for the past two years I have served as Riders President of the Department of Missouri. Since 2013, I have attended all National Mid-Years and Conventions. I have served on the Programs, Membership, Bylaws, and Mid-Year committees. I am looking forward to this coming year, working with all of you on your programs, reporting and continuing Tom McNamara's work with the Long Range Plan.
