Greetings Riders.
We are holding a fundraiser for the Gold Star Mothers portion of Rolling to Remember. This is to fund the Gold Star reception, their transportation and hopefully aid some of the Gold Star families to attend. This is a nationwide fundraiser through Texas Roadhouse. We will be purchasing gift cards using the link below and will receive 10% of every gift card purchased. This is an e-card purchased in the denomination of your choice and an email will be sent with the gift card printed in the email. If you order multiple gift cards, you will receive an email regarding each card. This runs from November 8th through the 22nd. Just click on the link below and follow the steps to order. Let's rock this fundraiser and show the Gold Star families how much we care about them. https://txrhgiftcards.com/collections/txrh-5-100-no-brd?ref=028AMVETriders Sincerely, Casey Macdonald Dept. of Iowa Riders President On behalf of the Rolling To Remember Gold Star Committee My contact information is: caseydpaulus@aol.com 319-404-3724

AMVETS Riders and Supporters, I am honored to serve as National Riders Treasurer for the past 5½ years, we are almost half way through another year and Riders have a lot going on across the Nation as usual. First I would like to remind everyone to make sure to file their 990 for their Chapter and Department if you haven’t already. At National Riders we have a $250- death benefit, plus we have 3 $1,000- Scholarships and you can find the applications for both on the website under the publications tab. This year our new National Riders 2nd Vice John Reando has developed a great gun raffle to raise money for National Riders, PLEASE PARTICIPATE!! This fund raiser is what helps us from increasing dues and also allows us to have the Death Benefit and Scholarship funds, both of these funds were developed to give back to the Membership. At National we have worked very hard at cutting expenses in order to maintain these benefits and still be able to do everything else needed to support the Riders Organization and we need this fund raiser to succeed in order to balance our budget. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Mid-Year in Florida. LRB, Dan Macdonald AMVETS Riders National Treasurer dnmacdonald@aol.com (319) 415-2822 ![]()

Riders and Supporters Nationwide, I hope this finds everyone doing well! Since August 2016, we’ve opened 7 new chapters and 1 new department. Welcome to all of you! We are very pleased to have you join our Riders family! If you have any questions, concerns or need help, please don’t hesitate to contact us. If you have a Department, please refer your questions to them first. If you don’t have a Department, please contact National. NATIONAL RIDERS WEBSITE: Be sure and check out our National Riders Website. It has a lot of good useful info. It has all our forms, our National Quartermaster, Laura Stenson’s info; the new Unified Constitution and By-Laws (CBL’s) and much more. amvetsridersnational.org. NATIONAL LOTTERY TICKETS: You can order them online or contact Tom McNamara, National 2nd Vice and he’ll make sure you get them. If you already have some, please try to sell them; that’s what helps keep us from raising the Riders dues. Remember, you can sell them to anyone: family, friends and neighbors. DRFs: Nice job to the Departments and individual chapters who have sent them in! If you haven’t yet, please do so as soon as possible. QUALITY CHAPTERS CRITERIA: The 5 areas that need to be met for Quality Chapter patch are: DRF in on time, REVAL in on time, recruit new member(s), participate in at least 1 National fund raiser and report your programs. MID-YEAR RALLY: This is a very informative convention. If you can possibly come, you will enjoy it. This is the place where new ideas are formed, new friendships are formed, and old ones reunite. It will take place at Post 48 in Desoto, MO from May 5-7. Pre-registration forms are on the website. Print the form, fill it out and mail them, with your registration fee, to the National Riders Secretary. The cost is $10 if you pre-register by April 15th. Registration after the 15th and at the Rally is $20. T-shirts are also available for $15 each. Those must be paid for by April 15th so they can be ordered. Information about the rally is on the website. Also remember: This year the hosting Chapter/Department for Mid-Year 2019 will be chosen. If your Chapter/Department would like to be considered to host the 2019 Mid-Year, the requirements and bidding guidelines can be found on the website under the events tab. Bids need to be postmarked by April 1st. SCHOLARSHIP AND DEATH BENEFIT FORMS: These forms are on our website now. Please take advantage of the Scholarship Program; the application has been revised. Also, if a Rider or Supporter has passed, please fill out that form. It doesn’t matter what caused their death. This program was implemented last fall, so you can fill out a form if someone has died since that time. Thank you Riders and Supporters for all you do for our communities and veterans out there! Everyone stay safe! Hope to see you all in Missouri in May! Don Cox, Riders National President NATIONAL AMVETS RIDERS
Fund Raiser Lottery Cards The purpose of the fund raiser is for the Chapters and Departments to be involved in helping the National Riders keep membership dues down at their current level. The fund raiser cards are available to your Department and Chapters to aid in fundraising for the National AMVETS Riders and your Chapter. This is a year-round fund raiser and cards can be requested from this point forward. Cards are valid for play on the 1st day of the following month after received and processed at National. Your Riders National Officers are committed to donating to charities, scholarships, and death benefits for our members. Our obligation to the Chapters and Departments is creating and developing training aids that instruct and clarify membership, program reporting issues, and resolve CBL issues. Sometimes this requires National Officer travel. So, to offset the cost, the fundraisers were created. Participation in this fundraiser also fulfils one requirement for a Chapter to qualify for the National “Quality Chapter” award. Instructions are included on the card for the participant. The participant can pick their own three digit numbers. The intent is for the Chapter to request a donation of $20 per card BUT the Chapters keep $5 of that donation, so both National and Chapters benefit from the fund raiser. When you remit the card you only send $15 per card to National. The gaming will be played seven (7) days a week and use the “PICK 3” numbers from the Ohio Lottery drawn at 7:30 pm EST. Pay outs are $25 per winner, per day. You may win as many times through the year as your number is drawn. Please make sure the name, address, and phone number are LEGIBLE, or we cannot mail the check to the winner, at which time it then becomes a donation to the National organization. To request the cards, contact the Riders National 2nd Vice, Tom McNamara via email; hueycchief@yahoo.com or request online. Please submit participant card AND $15 per entry to the National AMVETS Riders; RNT Dan Macdonald 1422 Iowa St. Cedar Falls, IA 50613 Thank you for your participation.
