National AMVETS Riders

American Veteran Article 811

I am excited to take on the responsibilities as the National President of the AMVETS Riders! I look forward to the opportunities and challenges that awaits the Riders!

I would like to thank everyone for their confidence and their votes during the Riders National Convention. I would like to thank my wife, Debra for her support! I would also like to thank Dutch Stivason, Riders Past National President for his friendship and mentoring over the past few years. LRB will live on in the Riders organization! Dutch has a patch on his vest that says, "The man at the top of the mountain didn't fall there." I completely agree with that but the top man is only as good as those he surrounds himself with and I have a National Officer Staff that is second to none.

I recently announced our AMVETS National program for 2011 – 2012. It is Work Vessels for Veterans. Work Vessels for Veterans is a 501C3 organization that assists wounded Veterans in starting a business. They have had many success stories to their credit. Please check out their web site at www.WVFV.net. Let's twist back the throttles and make things happen for our wounded Veterans!
